The Mary Louis Academy has added a course in Forensic Science to it Science department offerings. The senior year elective began this September with 40 students enrolled. TMLA is currently the only all-girls school in the diocese of Brooklyn to offer Forensic Science. The course is divided into two semesters. One semester is devoted to the study of "Biologicals" which includes blood evidence, DNA, hair, fiber and fluid analysis, toxicology, serology, and other trace evidence.
