Crime Scene Investigation comes to TMLA! On October 12 Detectives Daniel Mulvanerty and Chuck Reiss from the New York City Police Department visited our Forensic Science classes. Through an interesting powerpoint presentation and other visual aids, the detectives gave Mrs. DiMartino's and Mrs. Salpepi's students a first-hand look at how crimes are investigated, how evidence is collected, and how crimes are solved. The girls were especially interested in actual crime scene photos shown by the detectives. The visit reinforced such topics as crime scene analysis and documentation, fingerprinting, blood and DNA evidence and investigative technique - all of which are studied in the Forensic Science program at TMLA.
