Designing Art with Math (click for photos) was a topic of study at TMLA's Summer Fest. TMLA Math teacher, Ms. Geis, introduced concepts of math that are evident in Art. Students reviewed great works of Art such as the Mona Lisa in relation to Math. Students then reviewed works by Escher and learned about tessellations. Afterwards, students created their own tessellations in the style of Escher.
